Boredom to Success

Boredom to Success: Love the Process the out but will be the best you deserve. Everyone have GOALS and DREAMS, but sometimes we find it difficult to continue working towards achieving them. We start with good intentions and full attention, but maintaining consistency with time gets difficult. We at times struggle with patience. Getting started is easy, but staying focused for very long is a challenge

We shouldn’t worry, as this is common with everyone.

For example, starting a project is easy, and we all know that, but then we lose focus and try something else and then something else and so on. We have stopped and started so many times but never make any good progress.

I am sure you too must have experienced the same and must have felt this way too.

The key is about maintaining Passion and Motivation

Once I was attending a seminar which was titled “My business, My Child” it was a seminar where the speaker was talking about “building your business successfully”.

After the seminar I got an opportunity to interact with the speaker, I asked him, “What’s the difference between the best entrepreneur and everyone else”. What do the successful people do that most of the others don’t?”

Genetics. Luck. Talent – yes that’s what is replied with, and that was obvious to all. But then he said something that was not expected.

At some point, he said, “it comes down to who can handle the boredom every day and keep doing the same business processes over and over and over again.”

The words surprised me because it’s was a different way of thinking about work.

Most of the time get to hear about being motivated to work towards out goals. Let it be any activity or task that a human do, we frequently get to hear people say things like, “it all about having passion.”

He said, “We get depressed when and then lose focus or our motivation because we think that successful people have some extraordinary passion and will”. But he mentioned it’s exactly the opposite.

He mentioned event the most successful people feel the boredom and lack of motivation like everyone do. There are no magic pills to make anyone feel ready and inspired every day.

Then he made a note, “People who continuously work towards their goals are the one who don’t let their emotions run over their actions. According to him, it’s someone’s ability to work in difficult times, is what separates the best performers from others.

Working in difficult times…

Anybody can perform well when felt motivated. Example: As an entrepreneur, being focused is easy when customers are growing and everything is going well. But what happens when things are not going your way?

Everyone look at goals as the results achieved. But it’s not about the event it’s about the process of how the successful event is achieved.

Think…

If you look at those who are consistent in achieving their goals, you would realize that it’s not about the success events. It’s about their commitment to the process of achieving their goals. Daily practice is what they are in love with and not the outcome. One shouldn’t be surprising, of course, it’s their focus on the process that they enjoy.

If you want to be a great sports personal, then winning awards is wonderful, but the only way to reach that result is to fall in love with the process of playing the game.

Sir Sachin Tendulkar, it was his love and satisfaction about playing the game of cricket. His records and his success was just the outcome.

SO, if you want to be better at anything, you have to fall in love the process of doing it.

In other words…

Boredom, Repetition, and Practice are the pillars. The more deep and tall you can build them, the better you will be. Built a stronger process of what you do and let the results take care of themselves.
